We have been inputting new tiles all of January. Most items have been non-fiction for the younger crowd. Some series includes Natures Deadliest Beasts (Killer Bees, Black Mambas and the Frilled Shark), History’s Great Structures (the Great Wall of China, the Parthenon of Ancient Greece and the Eiffel Tower) and a series on Canada in WWI.
We are always adding new books in both fiction and nonfiction for all ages as well as new magazines. Please stop by and see what we have.
Not only does your library card allow access to our collection, it provides you access to items in libraries in Alberta and across Canada: books, magazines, DVD’s, book on CD, reference materials……
All this for $5 per person annually.
Winter Reading Program:
Looking forward, we will be hosting the Winter Reading Program again. This year adults can join in the reading fun. Log forms are available for adults at the Library. Forms for the children will be sent home with them. Please help your child track their reading minutes at home. Please keep track of all minutes read by your child in the months of January and February. Include minutes your child has spent on reading for fun as well as their home reading from school.
Please return forms by March 2. Your name will be entered into a draw for 1 of 6 iPad minis.
We will also have activities on Tuesday, Feb 24th starting at 3:30PM, right after school. Our theme this year is “Celebrate!”
In the meantime, enjoy the unseasonably warm weather of late.
