Spring looks like it is finally here!!! The snow is gone and the ground is drying up. The sun is shining and the robins are back.
And with the warmer weather, the urge to get outside and get your hands in the dirt takes over. It certianly has for me.
With that in mind, we have created a display of really good gardening and landscaping books. We have many titles by semi-local authors Lois and Jim Hole of Hole's Greenhouse fame situated in St.Albert.
We have the following titles by these prolific authors:
- Vegetable Favorites
- Herb's and Edible Flowers
- What Grows Here? three editions
- Perenial Favorites
- Bedding Plant Favorites
- Favorite Bulbs
- Rose Favorites
- Tomato Favorites
- The Best of Lois Hole
- Trees and Shrubs
- Roses: Practical Advice
- Favorite Trees and Shrubs
and my personal favorite "I'll Never Marry a Farmer".
There are quite few titles that really focus on our garneing zone here in northern Alberta:
- The Prairie Winterscape
- The Harrowsmith Northern Gardener
- University of Alberta Rose Gardening on the Prairies.
Happy reading and gardening everyone.
