Well, our Daisy Reader is the neatest thing. The Daisy Reader is an automated reader for the visually or mobility impaired. It is about the size of a hard cover book and reads special CD's. I have been listening to the titles we have while shelving and inputting new titles. We have a dozen or so titles availalbe now and many more we can borrow through the TRAC system. New Hours and Programming
We will be rearranging our hours for the balalnce of the school term (until June). We will be open Mondays from 10 to 2 PM and Tuesdays from 3 to 8 PM. We have gotten a fabulous Story Time Kit on loan from HQ. Our theme will be DINOSAURS for the next month or so. We have puppets, books, skeletons and a CD all themed Dinos! Feel the Ripple!
Well, JW made my day. She came in to use the library computers as she usually does once a week and gave me a "Feel Good Ripple", from the Servus Credit Union. I was tickled!!! So I decided to buy two library memberships with it if people who did not have memberships came in today. And two new ones did. So SJ and PF got an annual membership for our library. What a Great Week!!
What a busy and fabulous week we have had! On Monday, October 18, we had the Moms and Tots group from the Youth Center join us. I read several books to the little ones having them act out the animal, make the sounds and count with me on thier fingers. Thanks little ones (D.M. and J.P.) for my highlight of the week!! Well, we have a lot of new additions on our shelves. There is still a number of children's books and junior fiction to process. Our "New Additions" Shelves are filling up nicely. We have 90 new Junior Fiction titles and 20 Adult Fiction titles ready to go! We still have shelves of new addtions to process.
